Free Write

Today I will be attending the SXSW EduExpo downtown at the Convention Center. It has been a while since last visited this event. I don't really have a game finished but there are some scenes from it that are done. This is a really cool event and I'm really looking forward to seeing other games and explore what is around. I got a T-shirt , cool stuff and other things that seemed really nice. I wasn't going to come to school today but I had this trip so I had to, Although I didn't get any sleep, I am still here. Awake and ready to learn.

Spring Break

Spring Break is on it's way in about a week from now. It's crazy to think that it came this fast , it was barely January yesterday. I am really siked about it because it's a week long and I really need that very soon. Sleep is something that I need to catch up on and I'm hoping to rest and just relax. The Rodeo is in town and I am also planning to maybe go . It's a bit expensive but I have some money saved up . It has been about 3 years that I last went so it will be really fun to get on the carnival rides over and over again .Hopefully that happens and it goes well. I was also hoping to work but I don't think that's going to happen.  Perhaps all these things happen during Spring Break and I have a lot of fun !

Free Write

Yesterday school was cancelled because of the bad weather . Turned out that it was really sunny and no ice\sleet was out in the streets. I woke up and saw that the sun was out and it wasn't bad at all. Personally I thought that there should have been school. The day was perfect to go out and enjoy the nice day. Go to a park or something , maybe even ride a bike around or something. I stayed in , woke up around 11 and just chilled. I ordered pizza and watched movies pretty much the whole day . It was a pretty good day to be inside but maybe next time I would of preferred to go to school . That's all I wanted. It was also my best friend's 16th birthday yesterday , which sucked because school was cancelled and I didn't get to see her. Her Sweet 16 is this saturday so I am really excited now. That's all I have.

I really don't like doing free write posts , it's not really my favorite thing. I don't know what to write about . I am listening to this artist called Tori Kelly , she sounds like alicia keys in one of the songs. 
It doesn't really matter. This weekend was probably a great one , my really good friend took me out for frozen yogurt on friday. I didn't go to school that day so I literally slept for like 6 hours. I definitely needed that huge amount of sleep. Anyways after juana took me to get yogurt, we played volleyball for a short amount of time outside the yogurt place and it felt really nice. Over all my weekend was really good and I'm hoping to continue it like that the next weekend .

There is nothing in particular that I want to write about . Life is the same old same old , nothing has changed since yesterday. I am currently reading this book called Will Grayson , Will Grayson , technically about two boys that live in Chicago with the same name. They meet at a random store and are surprised to see that. It doesn't revolve much around both of them together , more separately. Their lives are told by their point of view and what goes on in their lives. It all takes place in both of their high schools and the relationships that they both have within each other. It's a really good book and I recommend everyone to go get a copy and start reading right now. That's all I have to say , GO READ WILL GRAYSON NOW !

I am swamped with homework right now . Who's fault is that , ME ! . I don't really have much to say other than I am here. This week has been awfully fast and I felt like every class has gone by so quick. I don't know why but that's how it looks like. I'm listening to the 1975 right now . Great band that everyone needs to listen to no matter what. They once came to Austin but I din't get the chance to go see them. That was a huge bummer. I think that they are no longer on tour but hopefully they can come back once again. I really hope they do and I'm totally gonna be there. I don't have anything else to say that's about it.

Today is Friday thank god . The weekend is here and I am so ready for it . I hope to have fun this weekend in San Antonio and enjoy seeing the Alamo . Yes ! Today I started watching this really good movie called Still Alice about this woman who is going through the struggle of having alzheimer's and the consequences with it. So far it's really good and anybody needs to see it. I will continue to watch this movie and then say more about it . Hope everything goes well and I finish the movie.

So Mr.Streckfus says that we have to write 7 sentences from now on and I already dot that. Just wanted to point that out there. There is nothing much that is going on right now . Oh , this saturday I will be taking a trip with my World History Pre-Ap Classes. We will be visiting 5 missions based in San Antonio that had a huge impact in Texas . We will explore them and work on a project tagged along to it. I'm really excited because I've never been to the Alamo , and that is one of the 5 missions we will be visiting. Also , afterwards we will have dinner by the river walk in the Downtown area. I hope that everything goes well and I have lots of fun. I'm really looking forward to this weekend , hoping it goes as planned.

Today has not been my day . I didn't get any sleep last night and I was really sleepy. I had this huge headache that couldn't stop pounding on my head. I got to school late and I already wanted to go back home as soon as I got out of the car. Hopefully my day gets better and I start to laugh because I really don't want to have a bad day. It started as one like that but I know it will get better. Also , listening to music really helps a lot makes you feel happier and much more better.

Last night was the best night of my life. The Super Bowl 49 was held last night in Arizona . I wasn't there is but I saw it on TV and it was amazing. My New England Patriots did an amazing job and I couldn't be more proud . It was a tough and close game throughout the whole time but my Pats managed to get through. The last play was definitely a surprise. Seahawks ball , 1 timeout , #1 running back in the country Marshawn Lynch , at the 1 yard line , 2nd & goal and they decide to pass the ball . Instead of running it they throw it , I was definitely surprised. I couldn't believe it. I honestly thought the Hawks were gonna take it but when it was intercepted I was going crazy. I even got emotional and was just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HAPPPPPPPPPYYYYYY !!!!!!!!!!
I am so proud of my team and what they did . They worked hard for it and deserved this 4th Lombardi trophy. Tom and Belichick are definitely the best there is and it couldn't have been any better. We are CHAMPS BABY !!!!
This is for all the haters . Here is to next season and maybe another trophy in the near future

Today is Monday. I hate Mondays , definitely not my favorite day of the week . I don't know why I just don't like this day . Anyways , the weekend went by really fast , it always does. I had a pretty fair relaxing weekend, so glad that I got the much needed sleep that I needed. I hope this week goes by really fast and Sunday comes. Sunday is the Super Bowl 49 , which my team The New England Patritos made it to the final . I will be at my friend's house watching it and freaking out , it shall be a good day and I hope that they do win. That's all I have to day , not much else.

Weekend

Today is Friday , yay finally after a long week. I am so glad I only had to take one test this whole week. It wasn't that hard and I think I did pretty well. I hope that this weekend goes by super slow because I really need it . I don't feel like doing anything at this point , honestly just go to sleep . Although I have something to do tomorrow that's really exciting and I can't wait. I hope everything goes well and that I'm happy. That is all I can write about , I don't have anything else in mind, 

The Weekend

Since we had to write about something that was on our mind , I am deciding to write about what I have planned for this weekend . Which is basically nothing. I plan to stay in and not do anything. Nothing but sleep and sleep and even more sleep. I'll probably get up to eat but other than that I'm staying in. It is like 30 degress outside I don't think anybody wants to be outside at this time. Although I am really excited because my favorite team of all time. The New England Patriots are playing the Baltimore Ravens on saturday. This is the second round playoffs I think. Anyways , the winner moves on to play for the AFC Championship. My Patriots have been doing outstanding ever since the season started. They are 12-4 and have been going strong. I hope that they really fight and I know they will. They are going to give it their all and get that win. Here is to the New England Patriots. 

Space X Rocket

The article that I read was about the Pioneering Space X rocket that was supposed to launch today but got aborted. The main reason why they didn't go on with the project was because there was a drift on one of the two thrust vector actuators. Which is the main part that controls the steering of the rocket and where it lands. I thought that this was an unfortunate set of results but things happen and now the main focus is to try and relaunch the rocket. It was also a really cool idea how they plan on using a reusable rocket which can help out the economic state of space traveling. The landing target is also a very important process of the whole things and which is why they are also planning on landing on a stage instead of water. Hopefully things go well and the rocket gets launched again. There is still time and no hurry needed. 

Celebrate My Drive Video

I thought that the video was really cool . It definitely got across its point in a very interesting way of doing it. The actors really seemed like they knew what they were doing. I liked the scene where they were in the car and they showed all the things that were wrong and what people SHOULDN'T be doing. I suggest that maybe they could have added a bit more dialogue ,and speak a little louder.
Other that that I thought everything was pretty good , the recording was also really well .

Choose Learning Topic

I chose the topic of Child Abuse because it has had a huge impact on innocent kids that didn't deserve it. Child Abuse has affected a lot of kids out there and many more to come. I took the opportunity of being able to choose this topic and spread awareness out there. It won't help much and stop Child abuse but it can do a little bit by me spreading the word. I've heard about really bad situations that have turned worse and it has to stop. 
I also like this topic because there are many different ways that I can get through people by teaching it in different scenarios and being able to teach others.

Learn to Design Mobile Game

This topic definitely gave me an inside look on what are some possible things I am able to do and how I can incorporate some ideas onto my game . I will try and make my game as much playable as I can . Don't put too many stuff in it and make it all ugly. Just make it useful and for people to be able to learn .

Also , I will try and make it fun for others to play and maybe to make them think how I came up with the ideas of making a Side-Scrolling game and how they can also do that. 

Mobile Game : Course Overview

I'm sort of excited about starting my game , it's not so much of an exciting thing. I haven't worked on Flash in a while so I'm gonna try and get back to it. Hopefully I didn't forget and know my way around. I do hope to start getting an idea of what I want my game to look like and how I want others to see it. I'm longing towards Child Abuse , and make a game about it and spread awareness. A lot of kids suffer from it and people need to know what's going on. Other than working on my game I'm hoping to learn some other things that I didn't know last year , such as new coding to work on or other ways to design my game . We'll see how it goes .

The first game was a bit raunchy , it didn't really help me understand what homeless people are going through. It had several questions about poverty and the answer choices weren't that presentable. They didn't make sense and it threw off the whole question. It wasn't helpful at all , changes definitely need to be made, The second game was way better , it definitely gave me an inside on what homeless people got through and the obstacles that they have to face every day, It told me about what the main characted Larry had to go through and the choices he had. There were three types of games that I could choose from and they all helped me understood what I could help with and the things that I can help out. 

The second one was definitely way better , I would recommend it to others to play it. 

For the first game , I would change up the questions and make them better by really thinking about the true meaning behind them.

I'd make a game similar to Help Larry Eat Tonight , I feel like it is a great idea to learn about homelessness and the many things people could do to help out, 

Present Game : Stephen's Mission

The learning topic for my game is for the players to be able to get a sense of what Stephen.f. Austin and his settlers did to make a living and even find shelter to live in. It shows what the only few resources they had and what they were able to do with them. I want the players to really have some kind of vision of what it was like back in the day. Maybe even feel for what they had to do.

When I was in the 8th grade I took U.S History , so I went back on it and refreshed my memory on what I had learned about Stephen F. Austin and his settlement. Now I didn't remember a whole lot but I had some stuff in mind. I did on the side research on Austin's settlement and what it consisted of. For example the families that came and what they had to do to have a piece of land. The food that they ate , the shelter that they had and what they did on a daily basis. I learned a lot from it and realized the many differences of today and the past. They were VERY different and it made me think that I am grateful for what I have and the what I can do with it.

I had a set of ideas that I planned out for what I wanted my game to look like. Some of them were solid and some of them weren't really realistic so I pulled on the ones that I had a good feeling about them. I did everything that I had in mind as I was working on my game but then I realized that something didn't feel right. Along my work I sort of had a switch on my ideas. I decided to change the enemy that was on my idea and made it a little bit better. It really helped me put all my game together.

I would have to say some of the Game Ingredients were really helpful on what I was trying to achieve. The parallax scrolling and the relative mouse positioning sort of gave me a glimpse on what I was going for and it helped me get there. It showed me what I was able to do. I'd also have to say my classmates , some of them really helped me out on what was wrong and taught me how to do it right. 

I REALLY REALLY hated the coding. I just seriously couldn't stand it. I had a really rough time with it and it kept getting messed up. I tried my best many times and sometimes it just wouldn't come out but I'm glad I had help from the wiki and my classmates to help me out. The feature that I was most proud for my game would definitely have to be Stephen.F.Austin itself , the character. I took my time on drawing and it came out the way I wanted it. I'm glad it was that way and blended in good with the game.
